Sjogrens Tracker allows you to manage your chronic condition by tracking your symptoms, medication intake, and aggravators. Although specifically designed for those with Sjogrens Syndrome, it can be used by anyone with a chronic condition to track variables that impact how they feel.
The app allows you to customize your symptoms, medications, and aggravators that you believe trigger flares. The app will then generate a graph display that allows you to visualize your flares as orange spikes. Other factors are graphed alongside, with an explanation underneath to help you interpret your data. Over time, the app will also generate helpful statistics related to your symptoms and aggravators, as well as summaries of the frequency and length of your flares. Finally, the app keeps track of your medication intake and helps you identify recurrent triggers.
CUSTOMIZE
The app allows you to:
* Customize the symptoms that you experience from your autoimmune or chronic condition.
* Customize and track two different categories of medications--flare medications (taken to manage the onset of a flare, e.g. Prednisone) and daily medications (taken on a long-term basis, e.g. Plaquenil).
* Customize aggravators that you believe contribute to your flares.
* Customize any comorbidities or other medical conditions that you believe may be linked to your chronic condition.
ADD DATA
On any given day that you experience symptoms, you can add data for symptom rating and select from your range of customized symptoms, medications, aggravators and comorbidities.
TRENDS
Data entered are then visually represented on a graph. Symptom rating are graphed in the forefront, with each spike representing a flare. The height and width of the spike indicate how severe and long the flare was. Daily medications are graphed as horizontal lines along the bottom of the graph to help you keep track of the date range for which you take a particular medication. Flare medications are graphed alongside symptom ratings in a lighter color scheme to help visualize your dosage and tapering of certain medications.
INSIGHTS
Over time, the app also generates helpful statistics and summaries of your flares. Specifically, the app will break down each of your symptoms by percentage so you can see how frequently you experience each symptom. It will also keep track of the number of flares that each aggravator triggered. With time, the app will provide a 6-month or annual summary of the number and length of flares you experienced during that period. The app also keeps track of how frequently you take your flare medications and provides information related to the risks of certain medications such as Prednisone and Aleve. Finally, the app helps you identify recurrent triggers in your life and provides information that can help you manage or anticipate your flares.
The goal of this app is to help users better manage their chronic conditions. Although there is no cure for these conditions, being aware of triggers can help users avoid or anticipate flares. It is our hope that by collecting and drawing correlations from user data, this app will help users better manage and plan their lives around their chronic conditions.
